The last few years we have been averaging 800 plus bikes and about 1,300 participants and raising $75,000 each event, helping our fellow Long Islanders. It is your continued support that has helped us reach this milestone and we thank you. This ride has become the biggest and longest running charity motorcycle event on the Island.
After raising funds for Long Island Cares and March of Dimes, both great organizations doing great work, my committee and I have decided to switch gears. We will be raising funds this year for Melissa’s Wish
, a fund to help the caregivers of those afflicted with a catastrophic illness. This fund was the last wish of Melissa Blackford in her final days. She witnessed the emotional as well as financial pain the caregivers suffer while trying to care for their loved ones. You can read more about Melissa and her courageous and inspiring journey here
There are way too many horrific diseases and illnesses and we all know someone who has been affected. Read Melissa’s story
and in her name or perhaps in the name of someone dear to you, please consider joining us for this historic ride or make a donation.
This is a police escorted ride, supported by over 60 road captains from various local clubs. We are proud to say that we have worked hard to make this one of the safest and well run rides on the Island. We have 0 tolerance for unsafe behavior and riding. We will ride from Lido Beach eastbound on the scenic Loop and Ocean Parkways to Suffolk County and around the needle at Robert Moses. We will return to Lido Beach where the party will continue! Music, food, prizes, raffles and always a few surprises.
See you on Sunday, September 29th. Registration opens at 9:00 or pre-register and sleep in! Kick stands up at 11:00.
